Mindfulness.com first approached Scale Fanatics to help them enhance their App Store Conversions.

At the time they had around a 30-35% App Install Rate on iOS. They were aware that the benchmark for their sector was around 64%, so they had the potential to double their conversions but weren’t sure how.

The mission was to dive deep into their App Store efforts, make thorough background research to get to know their target audience and competitors better, and find a solution that would finally move the needle for them.

An all-around diagnostics from product to personas

Planning: The Research and Audit Phase

We kicked things off by doing a profound Background Research, analyzing 6 of their biggest, industry-leader competitors and their users, and identifying key elements that are the potential bottlenecks of high App Store Conversion Rates. We also got access to previous test & user interview data to get a better understanding of why users initially downloaded Mindfulness.com, or why they might have deleted it since then.

We listed all the important factors of high-converting Screenshots in the sector, highlighting communication, design elements, value propositions, and Screenshot orders. Then we applied our findings to upgrade Mindulness.com’s current Screenshots. As a bonus, we also crafted 2 Screenshot variations to test, each featuring different value propositions and background colors.

The Design Team and the Marketing Team played hand-in-hand here to create visually appealing Screenshots that are also predicted to increase Install Rates.

Execution: Applying the Changes & Test

The findings and the bonus deliverables laid the foundation for Mindfulness.com to launch a series of tests, featuring Screenshots in different orders according to different value propositions, messaging, and design elements.
